A Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) officer was in police custody Thursday night after a search found suspected cannabis, mobile telephones, lighters, and other contraband items in his possession.

Investigators said they found the items when the officer arrived for the 7:00 pm shift.

Sources told St Lucia Times that the officer joined the BCF in 2003.

  1. Enemy of the state. Putting the entire nation at risk .Have we considered what theses prison officer can expose us to.

  2. awa someone was a snitch because in every business one succeed and one suffer the small ones were the snitch here and unlike him they are many more in the trade.

  3. I guess he got the bright idea after working at the prison and realizing that if he were to simply become a prisoner in this “Covid-19 Guava Season” he would be able to get 3 square meals every day, and also not pay a cent for rent! Either that, or he is simply short-sighted! Too bad he was not thinking of the long term impact of his actions on his life, but instead was only seeing the immediate short-term benefit of appeasing some hardened criminals who must have their mobile phones and weed to conduct their business from within their cells at BCF. Also, did he not know that he would be searched upon arrival for his night shift? Or is it that the “partner” who was supposed to “search” him when he turned up for work unexpectedly fell sick, and somebody else who was not in on the plot was designated to do the search instead?! Or maybe he was simply stupid!
