Officers at the Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) resumed duties on Friday following reports of agitation linked to discontent over the time it takes to buy equipment.

Confirmation of the resumption came from the Director of Corrections, Hilary Herman.

On Friday, Herman disclosed that BCF management met with the correctional staff and the President of the association for an extended period on Thursday.

“Discussion ranged from meal allowances to replacement of furniture and equipment. Today officers have resumed their duties with the expectation that their demands will be addressed at the soonest,” he said.
