The Sugar Beach luxury resort in Saint Lucia has been acquired by Bermuda’s Green family, says Bermuda’s Royal Gazette.
According to the Royal Gazette, Alexander Green announced the purchase on Instagram.
The publication quoted a Green family spokesperson as confirming that the purchase of the five-star Viceroy property in Saint Lucia was recently finalized.
Sugar Beach on its official website, describes the resort and hotel as being set within more than 100 acres of pristine rain forest on the site of an 18th-century sugar plantation and in the embrace of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Pitons.
“The lushly landscaped grounds sweep down to the stunning white-sand Sugar Beach and the glimmering Caribbean Sea,” according to the description.
Resort amenities include plunge pools in every room, butler service and 24-hour in-room dining.
Sugar Beach officials in Saint Lucia were not immediately available for comment.
