Bermuda Family Acquires Saint Lucia Resort

The Sugar Beach luxury resort in Saint Lucia has been acquired by Bermuda’s Green family, says Bermuda’s Royal Gazette.

According to the Royal Gazette, Alexander Green announced the purchase on Instagram.

The publication quoted a Green family spokesperson as confirming that the purchase of  the five-star Viceroy property in Saint Lucia  was recently finalized.

Sugar Beach on its official website, describes the resort and hotel as being set within more than 100 acres of pristine rain forest on the site of an 18th-century sugar plantation and in the embrace of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Pitons.

“The lushly landscaped grounds sweep down to the stunning white-sand Sugar Beach and the glimmering Caribbean Sea,” according to the description.

Resort amenities include plunge pools in every room, butler service and 24-hour in-room dining.

Sugar Beach officials in Saint Lucia were not immediately available for comment.

  1. So what is the status of the stalled Freedom Bay Resort at Malgretoute, Soufriere? Both Government and Opposition politicians are tight-lipped on Freedom Bay. Must people forget how y’all relocated the Senior Citizens’ Home to Vieux Fort for this development? Karma!

  2. The politicians on both sides along with the some well known lawyers Eat the Money for Freedom Bay. FBI and UK Serious Fraud Office digging in time the net will be casted. You will be surprised as to all what transpired with that development lawyers and politician are real reprobates

  3. Ahhhhh boy Saint Lucia for sale come one come all we don’t own our tourism we just sell it to the highest bidder. Pitons anyone starting bit $100 bucks going once going twice Oh my bad I forgot those are sold already O well ! Sulphur Springs any one ???

  4. How can we be so mean to our Dominican counterparts? I have visited Dominica on more than one occasion and they are very welcoming. Shame on all who are using this abusive tone to our -OECS neighbours who are free to dwell here.

  5. I only hope its not another case of they changing investors to escape taxation and pay their long serving staff
