A relative of the man who died after a shooting incident at Leslie Land, Castries, on Friday has told St Lucia Times that the impact of the death on the family was ‘beyond words’ to describe.

According to police, Pedro Orlando Ismond, 44, succumbed after sustaining gunshot wounds about 7:00 pm.

His relative, who spoke to St Lucia Times on condition of anonymity, disclosed that a bullet pierced an artery in Ismond’s  leg.

The family member was unaware of any possible motive for the homicide but asserted without going into details that Ismond, who lived in Leslie Land, ‘died as a casualty of his environment.’
