Bicyclist Injured In Vieux Fort Accident

A bicyclist was injured in a road accident at Pierrot, Vieux Fort Saturday afternoon about 1.50 pm, emergency services say.

The bicyclist collided with a minibus which was travelling in the opposite direction, emergency officials say.

Videos posted on social media showed the bicycle in pieces on the road.

The victim’s injuries included a fractured leg and a broken right arm according to reports.

An ambulance from the Vieux Fort fire station transported the victim to St Jude Hospital where he was said to be in serious but stable condition.
