Blackheart Big 8 Championship This Weekend

Press Release:–  Castries, Saint Lucia, September 6, 2019 – The battle lines have been drawn for this weekend`s staging of the “big money” Blackheart BIG 8 on Saturday September 7 and Sunday September 8, at the Phillip Marcelline Grounds in Vieux Fort.

The matchups were drawn during a ceremony Thursday afternoon at the Saint Lucia Football Association Headquarters in La Clery.

In the first encounter on Saturday from 4pm, former Blackheart Champions Canaries will faceoff against three-time Champions Dennery, in what is billed to be a competitive encounter.

The battle of the BIG 8`s will continue with Roseau coming up against Marchand from 5:30pm.

The day`s second clash of former Blackheart Champions will see Gros Islet take on Mabouya at 6:30pm and Central Castries and Desruisseaux will face each other for a place on the winner`s table in the day`s final match-up from 7:30pm.

Tournament Director Mr. David “Shakes” Christopher says patrons can expect lots of action both on and off the field.

Tickets on both match days are only $10. The winner`s purse for this weekend’s championship is $6000EC. Who will win?
