  1. Sure you all get all these guns and amunitions . The thing that I and many people don’t know is, what is happening to these guns after the police have confiscated them from these criminals? Are the guns being destroyed? Are they being registered and used by the police? I don’t think the polce is equipped or even attempting to destroy these illegal fire arms. And so these guns most probably getting right back on the streets…. Lord help us, we are all sitting ducks!!

  2. Paula you know how many times they’ve had amnesties? The criminals simply take the money and buy better guns. This gun violence situation is much larger than we can imagine. It is societal issue. St. Lucia is firmly a chaotic place with no order or rule of law. And we all are part and parcel of ignoring order.

  3. This is a good start. Illegal guns pose a serious threat to our safety and security. Provide incentive for illegal guns to be returned to police station or safe place without penalty.

  4. @The Fox, firstly it is name not nome. Secondly take your ‘nome’ turn side ways and shove it where the sun don’t shine.

  5. Good job officers! Sadly, they will be out soon enough though…holster, rearm and doing the same old crap. It must take legislation to put those guys away for substantial periods. Only then we would have established deterrence. Presently, the situation is a joke because we are subject to the goodwill of the crooks.

  6. @Foxy – please dont complicate things – there is only one FOX on here. Can I find a nome for you? how about – CAYOTE – he is the super genius, o.k?

  7. Good start but hardly a tip of the Iceberg, while I commend you guys, theres still a heck of a lot of work yet to be done to convince anyone that you guys are up to the job. This Island is too small for the amount of shooting deaths, year after year; you have lost the confidence of everyone; Lucians at home and abroad. Developers and Investors, now, thats only one or two small fish, we want the big guys, you know who they are, where they hang out, where they stay, forget about search warrant, surprise them, shoot first then ask questions later.(My dear Lord, bring peace & Love & tranquility in St. Lucia)
