Boyfriend Of British TV Star Fined Over Barbados COVID-19 Violation

A court in Barbados this week fined the boyfriend of British TV star, Zara Holland, $8000 for breaching COVID-19 regulations.

Local news reports say Barbados authorities caught Elliot Joe Love attempting to flee the Island.

He had earlier tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Barbados Nation, Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes ordered Love to pay the fine in seven days or spend nine months in jail.

The Magistrate described Love’s actions as a grave breach.

Barbados Nation quoted the boyfriend of the British TV star as telling the court that he loves Barbados.

And he said he would be back if possible.

A Barbados court had previously ordered his girlfriend Zara Holland to pay $12,000.

Officials held her at the Grantley Adams International airport on December 29.

They had told her to isolate at her hotel following a coronavirus test two days earlier.

British news reports say the former Love Island star and former Miss Britain has since left Barbados.
