Press Release:– British Airways customers flying from St. Lucia to London will have even more flights to choose from next winter.
Customers will soon be able to choose from nine flights per week, 2 more than last winter, as the airline continues a trend of expanding service and substantial capacity increases over the last 18 months.
British Airways is set to be the only airline with a regular multi-weekly scheduled service between St Lucia and the UK, following Virgin Atlantic’s decision to stop serving the route after June 8, 2020.
The additional flights will depart on Wednesdays and Saturdays, coinciding with popular travel days and enabling holidaymakers to make the most of their time off.
British Airways Commercial Manager Caribbean, Diane Corrie said: “Already, this summer, passengers to and from St. Lucia are enjoying a significant increase in the number of seats on our service.” This, coupled with a huge investment in the onboard product, she said “enhances St. Lucia’s brand as a hotspot and contributes to the growth and sustainability of tourism.”
British Airways currently flies daily from St. Lucia, and has also increased its summer service to nine per week from July, 2020. It is the island’s longest serving airline from the UK. With its first service on July 20, 1971, British Airways has been connecting friends and families to and from St. Lucia and the UK for nearly 50 years.
Onboard, British Airways’ customers in all cabins on flights from London Gatwick can enjoy brand new catering with reimagined menus and improved food, and, from March 1, freshly designed soft blankets and cushions and a new headrest for customers in World Traveler (Economy)

British Airways flies to more than 70 destinations from London Gatwick, offering a variety of routes to suit both business and leisure travelers. British Airways customers can collect Avios on their flights to Gatwick, which can be put towards Reward flights, upgrades, or reducing the cost of future flights through Avios part payment.
