Burglary at Fort-de-France Cathedral

Fort-de-France, Martinique:- Law enforcement authorities are investigating the latest burglary at the Fort-de-France cathedral.

According to Martinique 1 ere, the latest  incident happened on Tuesday.

The publication reported that it was the fifth burglary at the same cathedral in one week.

One or more people entered through a window of the religious building probably in search of money, it was reported.

A volunteer at the  cathedral was quoted as saying that at about 5:45 on Tuesday morning, one or more persons entered the religious institution by breaking a glass window.

The burglars are understood to have gained entry through the back of the cathedral and emptied a number of containers they found.
