A minibus and a wrecker collided at La Caye, Dennery Saturday afternoon, resulting in injury to the 52 year old bus driver, emergency officials say.

According to information obtained by St Lucia Times, the  bus driver was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

He is reported to have sustained head injuries and was transported to the Dennery Hospital.

The driver of the wrecker was unhurt.

It was reported that as a result of what was described as the ‘side collision’, the bus ran off the road.

The incident occurred about 4:20 p.m. according to emergency officials.
