Castries Man Charged In Annela Wilson Murder

A Marchand, Castries man has been charged in the murder of Annela Wilson.

Police have identified him as Ramah Williams.

It was reported that he had surrendered to the police after the young woman’s death.

Williams was charged with murder and attempted murder and remanded in custody at the Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) until September 9, 2020, according to the police.

Annela Wilson was shot multiple times in the head on Sunday night at Pigeon Island and died on the scene.

A male, identified as Hubert Kerry John of Maynard Hill who was in the company of the 22 year old deceased at the time, sustained gunshot wounds to the back and has since been released from hospital.

Saint Lucia has so far recorded 25 homicides for the year, including two fatal police shootings, according to statistics from the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF).
