The Castries and Vieux Fort Mayors last week concluded site visits to the St Jude Hospital construction site and the Hewanorra Airport Redevelopment project, praising both initiatives.
“These two major projects are by far the best the South has ever seen,” Castries Mayor, Peterson Francis, asserted.
In this regard, Francis said both projects are worth the wait.
And he expressed the view that the St. Jude Hospital and the Hewanorra Airport Redevelopment projects will propel Vieux Fort into the future.
Francis said Saint Lucians will have something to talk about when both projects are finished.
Meanwhile, Vieux Fort Mayor, Orricia Denbow-Bullen, stated that both facilities will provide a world-class service in the South.
“Healthcare will be first class as well as our airport services,” she asserted.
As a result, the Vieux Fort Mayor predicted an influx of people to Saint Lucia for medical procedures and medical tourism, thereby boosting the tourism industry.
