Prime Minister Allen Chastanet says his administration remains committed to delivering a world class St Jude Hospital for the citizens of the South of Saint Lucia.
Chastanet reiterated the commitment in a post Monday on his official Facebook page.
” Currently approximately 300 workers are employed on this project to help us achieve this commitment,” he observed.
Chastanet noted that the St Jude Hospital Construction Project entails 3 phases.
“Phase 1 which is the structural phase is nearing completion. Phase 2 involves the installation of the cladding which will be commencing shortly and Phase 3 is the (MEP) Phase or the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing phase,” he explained.
September 9th, 2020 marked the 11th anniversary of the St Jude Hospital fire.
Chastanet disclosed that on Thursday the 10th of September, 2020, he visited the site along with Minister Guy Joseph and Taiwan’s new Ambassador to Saint Lucia His Excellency Peter Chen to view the progress with the construction of the new hospital.
