Prime Minister Allen Chastanet Wednesday lauded this country’s nurses, describing them as ‘incredible’ in a message to mark International Nurses Day.
According to Chastanet, 2020 and 2021 have been remarkable years.
As a result, he said they have shown people how much they need to appreciate the work of the ‘incredible nurses we have in Saint Lucia.’
“I have known that for a long time,” Chastanet explained.
” I can tell you, I have had many experiences over my lifetime where the nurses really have come to my aid personally,” the PM recalled.
And he said he has personally seen nurses help many others.
“I just want to say congratulations. This country owes you the greatest debt of gratitude,” he declared.
Chastanet disclosed that his mother was a nurse.
Therefore, he explained that he knows the sacrifices nurses have been making.
“But it’s in your nature,” he asserted.
“Today is a day for us to say ‘Thank you!’ You have been doing an amazing job,” Chastanet stated.
