Just a little over a week ago, Cheyenne Dewhurst, who represented the Convent High School emerged as Miss Teen Dominica over six other contestants.

Dewhurst, who performed at number two in the five-round competition, won awards for Miss Photogenic, Best Speech, and Best Spectacular Creation.

Ashanti Alleyne of the Goodwill Secondary School placed first runner-up and captured the awards, Miss Amity, best talent and best in spectacular creation.

The second-runner –up, Lesean Bellot of the Dominica Grammar School received the award for best response to question.

Britney Toussaint of the Isaiah Thomas Secondary School placed third runner-up. She copped awards for best evening wear and best in evening wear.

Other contestants were Selena Edwards who represented the Castle Bruce Secondary School, Furlisha Edwards of the Pierre Charles Secondary, and Ashley St. Jean of the Portsmouth Secondary School.

The pageant took place at the Eddie Andre Carnival City on Sunday afternoon.
