Choiseul homicide victim Morrison Joseph died with a cutlass within reach, leading to speculation that he may have heard suspicious noises and armed himself before venturing onto his balcony to investigate.

“He was maybe inside. He had his cutlass by him. Maybe when he heard the noise he took his cutlass – he not leaving his cutlass,” his girlfriend Maudianna Agdomar told St Lucia Times.

Agdomar, who lived apart from the 48 year old deceased, disclosed that she found him in a pool of blood in the balcony of his home at La Fargue, Choiseul.

The discovery was made about 9.15 am.

Joseph had been shot.

His girlfriend said she knows of no reason why anyone would have wanted Joseph dead.

She recalled having spoken with him on Saturday evening about 7.45 pm.

According to Agdomar, Joseph told her he was watching the news on CNN.

She explained that he liked to keep abreast of current affairs.

Agdomar told St Lucia Times that she tried calling him several times Sunday morning and when he did not answer, she went to the home where she made the shocking discovery.

“I want justice,” the New Field, Choiseul resident declared.
