Christopher Hunte Detained by Police

Christopher Hunte was detained by Saint Lucia police Sunday afternoon, about five minutes drive from the fishing village of Canaries.

Hunte’s detention was recorded an posted on social media.

It was reported that he was asked to accompany the police to Custody Suites in Castries.

The detention took place as several persons took part in what the police described as an ‘unlawful’ motorcade.

The anti-government event attracted several persons despite a police request for them to disperse.
