College Ballers suit up for ‘Leebo’

PRESS RELEASE:-Castries, August 12, 2016 – The College Ballers play basketball on the Saint Mary’s College court in Vigie. One of the reasons they have met there at least three times every week for the past twenty (20) years is because of Francis “Leebo” De Lima – he is one of the founding members of the group.

Leebo is a singer, songwriter and producer from Saint Lucia who was recently diagnosed with cancer.

To supplement ongoing fundraising efforts from members of his musical family, the College Ballers say his relationship with their own tight knit group compelled them to act on his behalf.

As a result, this Friday August 12, at the weekly Gros-Islet Street Party, members of the College Ballers will be branded in white T-shirts bearing an Acid Kreationz designed caricature of Leebo with #leebostrong in the back.

The College Ballers are making a special appeal for public support of the initiative because “Leebo is truly a gem to our community, country and the world. He is not only a singular musical talent but just as special as a father, brother, friend, mentor, husband and unifying force and cornerstone member of the College Baller family. He has done so much for so many both professionally and personally never seeking anything in return so this time let’s do what we can for him and his family.”

No donation is too small in aid of this worthy cause – we thank you in advance.
