COVID-19: Nine Babies Hospitalised In Martinique

Nine babies, aged  10 days to one month are hospitalised in Martinique as a result of COVID-19 infections which are wreaking havoc on the Island’s health care system.

According to local reports, four of the babies are in intensive care, while pediatricians report an upsurge in the number of children in hospital due to COVID-19.

Health officials say the hospitalised children are recovering well.

But as overall cases of COVID-19 in Martinique continue to increase and the authorities express concern about a vaccination rate that has seen less than 20 percent of the population being fully covered, a group of citizens who describe themselves as being ‘independent’ has been seeking to combat vaccine fake news.
