Saint Lucian flight attendant, Deann Pat Portia Plummer, has paid fined totaling $52,000 after pleading guilty to drugs charges, Loop News reported today.
Plummer arrived in Barbados by air on April 26, 2016.
She was interviewed by Drug Squad personnel and later referred to Customs.
Customs officers searched her handbag and found five kilogrammes (11 pounds) of cocaine.
A search warrant was subsequently executed at her apartment and police found 1.3 grammes of cannabis.
According to Loop News, the 33 year old was fined $25,000 for possession of cocaine, $25,000 for importation of cocaine and $2,000 for the possession of cannabis.
The Liat flight attendant was convicted, reprimanded and discharged on the charge of possession of cocaine with intent to supply and reprimanded and discharged on trafficking charge, it reported.
