Cuba Offering New Scholarships To Saint Lucia

Press Release:–  The Government of the Republic of Cuba is offering scholarships to eligible Saint Lucian nationals to pursue studies for the academic year 2019/2020 at the Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) and Postgraduate levels.

In the majority of cases, the scholarships offered aim to form professionals in the field of Medicine and Health Specialist.

The Embassy of Cuba in Saint Lucia has begun working together with the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Gender Relations and Sustainable Development of Saint Lucia, which has issued a Press Release announcing the commencement of the selection process and awarding of these scholarships, that should be coming to an end in the month of August with the transfer of the new students to Cuba.

In this manner, Cuba continues to contribute to the development and the training of specialists from this Caribbean country; in particular, in a high impact social sector like public Health.

Both countries mark this year as the 40th Anniversary of the Establishment of Bilateral Relations, a period in which more than 600 specialists and professionals from Saint Lucia have studied in and have graduated from Cuba.
