Saint Lucia’s Daren Sammy is among current and former West Indies cricketers who have been paying tribute to US basketball legend, Kobe Bryant.
Bryant and his 13 year old daughter were among persons who died in a helicopter crash.
In a social media post, Sammy observed that heroes come and go.
“Legends live forever,” he wrote.
“But this still hurts like hell. Very sad day. #RIPKobeBryant, you inspired us all. God be with all the families who lost their loved ones,” Sammy stated.
Kobe Bryant, 41, and his daughter, Ginna, died when the helicopter in which they were travelling crashed on Sunday.
Sir Vivian Richards was also among current and former cricketers who paid tribute to Bryant, describing him in a social media post as a true legend of the sporting world.
