Quain Montoute promised his cousin Matthew Montoute on Monday that he would pass later for a taste of the ‘one pot’ Matthew was cooking.

But by afternoon, Quain was dead from injuries sustained when his motorcycle collided with a car on the Millennium Highway.

The 29 year old Leslie Land resident was pronounced dead after being rushed by ambulance to Owen King European Union Hospital (OKEUH).

“I have it on his voice note saying he is on his way,” his cousin Matthew told St Lucia Times.

He expressed concern about the number of bikers who are dying  as a result of road accidents.

“A bike is not something you can just fall off and say you escape. When you hit a bike you are open to anything that comes your way, your skull, your stomach, your arm –  riders just hold it down on the road,” Matthew asserted.

“There’s no crowd to impress. We are not on a race track. Just hold it down, reach your destination and back in once piece,” the distraught cousin declared.

He described the deceased as having been a loving individual who never disrespected him

According to Matthew, the family and the community are in intense mourning.
