Well informed sources told St Lucia Times that the police and social services have taken an active interest in the case.
A brief video that was posted on social media and went viral, shows a young female on the floor of a home.
She raises herself up and tumbles onto a chair as a man advances towards her, hurling kicks.
The video is understood to have been recorded by the 13 year old victim’s older sister who sent it to a relative overseas.
