Dennery Resident Injured By Relative In Cutlass Attack

Emergency personnel transported a Dennery resident to hospital after a cutlass attack on Monday.

Police said the victim reported that a relative was responsible for the attack.

Saint Lucia Fire Service spokesman, Damian Jn Baptiste, said the Dennery fire station responded.

He disclosed that the Dennery Police Station made a report at 7.47 pm.

Jn Baptiste said the police requested help for a male physical assault victim.

“The individual had walked into the police station and was bleeding profusely from a head injury,” he disclosed.

According to Jn Baptiste, the 27 year old patient reported that an assailant whom he knows attacked him with a cutlass.

He said emergency personnel treated the victim.

Jn Baptiste said they later transported him to the Dennery Hospital in stable condition.

The patient has since left the medical institution.
