  1. Here goes the 45% reduction In crime. Hope those in charge are serious enough to understand that words are only that and progress on the ground can only be achieved by good planning and not dreams . Tourism and crime cannot exist the way it is presently. These are incompatible and cannot go on like this if we want tourism to succeed.

      • Merline, exactly what did Lincoln wrote that makes the person an idiot? Lincoln said we were promised a 45% reduction but the crime rate is increasing – that is true. Lincoln wrote that action is what is important and not words – that is true. Lincoln says that crime negatively affects tourism – and that is true.
So Merline, attacking a person for stating these simple truths makes you a very big idiot. In fact more of a political jack*ss

      • Sadly, as one commenter said, about only a truce with gang members can reduce or eliminate gang violence, is true. I see the evidence in another small Caribbean country. After gang members met and came to a truce, the murder rate went down. Some also said that the decriminalization of marijuana in that country have helped the gang members to stop killing each other.

  2. If, and I say if it is Gang Violence then no Govt, police and even the public can fix. Only a truce among gangs can bring this to and end.

    • CW,, the current PM was the one who introduced politics in the crime situation. He blamed the former government and said that the former government could not stop crime but he can. People believed him. He must take responsibility and deliver

  3. If the truth is cynical then be it. I’m only stating the facts as they present themselves. Not sure what you think my comments would do to change the facts on the the ground.

  4. Yall just waiting for some to say something that will trigger you to to bash other people because of the opinion just stick with the topic..some of yall dont really need to be on this site for real.

  5. The very reason I’ve been talking behaviour modification. New laws change nothing. Laws provide consequences for breaking those laws. They don’t reduce crime. Increasing the size of the police force and CCTV cameras cannot and will not reduce crime in the same way that gun control laws will not cut back on crime. Guns don’t kill. People use guns to kill people. A loaded pistol left unattended on a table,,shelf, under a bed for 100 years will never fire a single bullet without the intervention of a human hand.

  6. Please pay special attention to theses Two killing, it may have well be the Po Po excited these thieves to curb down on these latest home invasions. When they get caught the Law cut them loose and they turn back and shame the police who took them in custody. That’s the only way victims can get justice so for me and all Lucian that’s should be the way to bring justice upon this land. (ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ). I sympathize with their love ones

  7. Gang or not better laws can be a deterant.
Govt. whichever one can make it more difficult for these gunmen to get bail and frustrate the police.

  8. To the people blaming the government.. you all are a bunch of dumb *****. Can’t blame the government for crime.. come on fam

    • That wasn’t the attitude in 2016 ! People blame kenny and Cobinere for every single murder during the last administration. Why the sudden change ?

  9. LUCIA ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THAT SEEN WE GROWING UP
THE SYSTEM IS DESIGN LIKE DAT SO YOUNG PEOPLE KEEP KILLING EACH OTHER SO TELL ME NUFF COUNTRIES RECEIVE WELFARE WHY NOT ST LUCIA U JUST CANT FIGHT CRIME WITH CRIME YOU MUST FIGHT CRIME WITH BETTER IMPLICATIONS TO SUSTAIN THE PEOPLE OF ST LUCIA AND LUCIANS MUST COME TOGETHER

  10. My brother…thy brother…on point with your implications. I am proposing building Community Centers for start.

  11. Prayers πŸ™πŸ™ for St lucians πŸ™πŸ‡±πŸ‡¨ these people have to change their mind, set the young ones that are dying.Who so ever drop the devil blood in the country please clean it up it’s a sad situation.God put.. hands.

  12. We have parents of kindergartens who can’t control them but the government must control hardened criminals. Government is blamed for everything. People drive reckless is government fault. This is now a country where personal responsibility is nil. Sad.

  13. Kenny, you have to be blamed for this homicide because you could not make us safe now Chastanet is doing it. Well done Chas, when are you going yo replace Hermangild?
Chastanet apologise to the nation for politizing crime. You have the blood of the nation on your back.
Desruisseaux people you all are to be blamed.

  14. This is no gang shooting, nobody comes to kill and leaves a gun on te floor.Because the gun is to valuable, for starters, and because there are finger prints all over.guys stop blaming goverment, for our personal misjudgements
