Driver Trapped In Car After Crash On Choc Highway

A driver trapped in a car after it crashed on the Choc Highway had to be extricated by emergency personnel.

The incident occurred after 10.00 pm on Saturday.

According to responders, the driver was heading towards Castries when he lost control of the vehicle.

As a result, the responders said the car jumped the median barrier near to Sandals Halcyon, encroaching on the North bound lane.

The vehicle eventually hit a concrete wall near the hotel entrance.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car at the time, sustained multiple injuries.

They included broken limbs.

The Cap Estate resident is currently in hospital.
