Press Release:– The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through its Bureau of Humanitarian Agency (BHA), presented 21 hand-washing stations inclusive of plumbing fittings and installation costs to early childhood centres in Saint Lucia.
The organisation also procured some 25 cases of hand sanitizer and 30 cases of bleach, to distribute to government-run early childhood centers.
A handing over ceremony was held last week at the Ministry of Education’s warehouse at Vide Bouteille.
USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) provides humanitarian assistance—including food, water, shelter, emergency healthcare, sanitation and hygiene, and critical nutrition services— to the world’s most vulnerable and hardest-to-reach people.
BHA is the lead federal coordinator for international disaster assistance.
