Elderly Residents Of Adelaide Home Rushed Inside As Male Felled By Gunshots

At least four elderly residents of the Adelaide Home on Waterworks Road, Castries, had to be ushered inside the building amid sounds of gunshots Monday afternoon, an official at the home has disclosed

According to the official, the residents were sitting on the verandah of the home when the gunfire started.

A social media post asserted that someone fired at least ten shots.

Police say about 3.00 pm a male resident of Ravine Chabot was shot multiple times by an unknown assailant at Sunbilt, Castries.

An ambulance conveyed the victim to the Owen King European Union Hospital (OKEUH).

The Saint Lucia Fire Service disclosed that he sustained injuries to the lower and upper extremities.

According to a fire service official, emergency responders tended to the wounded man and controlled his bleeding before transporting him to hospital.
