The woman’s local friends gathered outside the Gros Islet police station after she was arrested.

The latest incident comes as Saint Lucia grapples with a sharp increase in cases of COVID-19.

As a result of the spike, Prime Minister Allen Chastanet recently declared that this country was in the COVID-19 ‘Red Zone’.
