Press Release:Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Ronald Weekes, as a result of a vehicular accident which occurred about 4:55 p.m. on Saturday April 27, 2019 at the Vigie Roundabout, Castries.

Ronald Weekes – Deceased

Ronald Weekes, a seventy-two year old (72), resident of Sunny Acres, Castries, was the sole occupant of an SUV, registration number PC 7625. He was conveyed to the Victoria Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.

A post mortem examination is scheduled for a subsequent date. This was the eighth road fatality for the year 2019.

The Royal St. Lucia Police Force wishes to extend condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

  1. Why is there so many road accident in St Lucia. There should be a law to allow drivers to drive at certain miles per hour road limit. If they break the law they have to be punish. It is wrong to keep having all these roads accidents. People are dying please Government do something about it.

  2. So sorry for this man and his family.

    Please BUCKLE UP out there people, not just the drivers, but passengers, especially children. If you have young children get them a car seat or a booster seat. Something as simple as a seatbelt could mean the difference between a minor accident and death!
