The father of a teenager who was stabbed to death last week at Pavee, Castries, has candidly declared that the youngster was ‘no angel’, but was loved and did not deserve to die in the way that he did.
Police say Davio Faucher succumbed to stab wounds sustained on Friday morning.
His father, Paschal Faucher, told St Lucia Times that the eighteen year old was a ‘troublesome little boy’ whom trouble seemed to follow wherever he went.
However, the father asserted that no one has the right to take the life of someone else.
He recalled that the youngster was a footballer who stuck to himself.
“Right now he is in a better place,” the father asserted.
The older man appealed to young people to stop the violence and enjoy life.
He disclosed that according to the reports he received, the teenager was at home sleeping with his girlfriend when two masked men broke into the house and stabbed him to death.
Mr. Faucher said the girlfriend is reported to have escaped and the intruders fled after committing the crime.
The father stated that relatives of the deceased teenager are in distress over the murder.
“He was troublesome but he was loved by everyone,” he explained.
