Father & Son Were Returning From Peacemaking Mission When Shot

A father and son were returning from a peacemaking mission when a lone gunman opened fire at them.

That’s according to reports from the Hospital Road area.

The shooting occurred about 10.20 pm Monday night.

Law enforcement officials say Hospital Road resident Martin Joseph, 52, died after an assailant shot him multiple times.

The deceased was a stevedore.

The gunman also shot Joseph’s son, Solomon Joseph, who was hospitalised.

According to information, the two had shortly before the shooting, gone on an unsuccessful peacemaking mission in the community.

Reports indicate that they sought to help two individuals resolve a conflict.

It was after they left that the fatal shooting occurred.
