Fire Service Responds To Physical Assaults, Vehicle Accidents, Shooting

The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) has reported receiving 89 ambulance calls during the period December 6 to 9, 2019, and responding to physical assaults, vehicle accidents and one shooting.

The SLFS  says it responded to a total 6 physical assaults, 6 vehicle accidents, one shooting and four fires.

Among the responses was one on Saturday, December 7, at 3 .am, when Vieux Fort emergency personnel dealt with a physical assault at New Village, Micoud.

On arrival they assessed  and treated a young male for lacerations to the head and hands and  transported him to St Jude Hospital for further medical treatment.

Among the vehicle accidents to which the emergency personnel responded was one the following day about 8: 57 pm, when there was a head on collision at Ciceron between a Coaster and a motorcycle.

The rider was assessed and treated for pain about the body, immobilized and transported  to Victoria Hospital for medical attention

The same day about 6. 52 pm,  Babonneau  emergency personnel responded to shooting incident at Ciceron, but the victim had already been transported to hospital via private means.
