Press Release:- Four top achievers in the Common Entrance Examination have been rewarded for their recent success by leading telecommunications provider, Flow.
Jerelle William (St. Mary’s College), Jervonte Desir (Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School), Daniella Symphorien and Destinee Leonce (Castries Comprehensive Secondary School) are the latest students to benefit from the Flow Scholarship Programme.
Established in 1995, the Flow Scholarship Programme is a seven-year commitment to the recipients, inclusive of their five-year secondary school tenure and two-year stint at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College.
For over 25 years, more than 120 students have benefited from Flow’s academic scholarships valued at more than $600,000.
“I feel extremely privileged to be awarded this scholarship and also happy that my hard work paid off. Receiving the scholarship and being told the expectations the company has of me, will motivate me to maintain my academic performance. Thank you Flow,” said Leonce, one of the four new inductees.
There are currently 24 students benefiting from the Flow Scholarship Programme and awardees are required to maintain an above-average academic performance throughout their seven-year journey.
“Congratulations to our students and their parents and teachers for a job well done despite challenging circumstances presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. You remained committed to academic excellence and you adapted well to a new environment, and you continue to shine,” said Chris Williams, Country Manager, Flow St Lucia.
“As an organisation committed to developing communities and providing resources that accelerate youth development, Flow will continue to reward our top performers through its annual scholarship programme which is a central pillar in our support for education.”
