Press Release:- Residents of Fond St. Jacques have received some measure of happiness following the distribution of relief packages by the Fond St Jacques Development Committee.
The distribution which was made on Monday and Tuesday, June 1st and 2nd respectively, was aimed at assisting the families from the community who have been adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Mrs. Sandra Prospere, Chairperson of the Committee, “the Covid-19 pandemic has left many persons from the community unemployed without any alternative sources of income. Thus, the committee saw it fitting to support the many families affected by providing care bundles.”
Four hundred and twenty (420) families of Fond St Jacques received these care bundles comprising of food and hygiene items. A second round of distribution of care bundles is slated for next week.
The Fond St Jacques Development Committee is a non-profit umbrella organization created for the purpose of advocating and representing the collective physical, economic and social needs of all residents of Fond St Jacques.
