Former Foreign Minister’s Social Media Account ‘Hacked’

Former Saint Lucia Foreign Minister Alva Baptiste has issued a warning to members of the public that his account has been hacked.

The warning was posted on the official Facebook page of the opposition Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP).

“My Account has been hacked. Please disregard any friend request or other messages coming from me. If I need to contact anyone I will do so by phone,” Baptiste, who is the MP for Laborie said in a message posted on Tuesday.

He joins a growing list of Saint Lucia politicians who have been experiencing similar issues.

In the past few weeks Prime Minister Allen Chastanet and former Prime Minister Doctor Kenny Anthony were among those alerting members of the public to the fact that impostors had created fake profiles in their names.
