Four Persons Injured In Two Separate Accidents

Four individuals were injured as a result of separate road accidents within the past 24 hours, emergency officials say.

The first accident occurred Saturday night about 9:30 pm near the IGY Rodney Bay Marina, according to reports.

Emergency officials told St Lucia Times that a man and a woman were injured when a motorcycle collided with a motor vehicle.

They said the woman, who was not wearing a helmet at the time, sustained serious head injuries while the man sustained ‘soft tissue trauma.’

A Gros Islet fire station ambulance transported the female to hospital, while the man was transported by an ambulance from the Babonneau fire station.

Hours later about 8.00 am a vehicle overturned after running off the Barre de L’Isle road, it was confirmed.

An emergency official said the two occupants of the flat van both sustained injuries which were deemed to be serious but not life-threatening.

Both were transported to hospital via ambulance.

The Dennery and Castries fire stations responded to that incident.

  1. We anticipate that the OKEU hospital will be well equipped and ready to receive them.
Indeed there’s much more than COVID19 going on in the health sector and the hospital workers need all the support they can get.
    Four accident victims in 24hrs!!!
Please provide them with all necessary support including equipment and PPE to carry out their duties. Also show them appreciation don’t slip them unreasonable contracts to sign.
Doctors, Nurses, Lab, X Ray, pharmacy, physiotherapy, medical supplies, handyman, ward maids, security, mortuary, laundry, drivers and administration staff.
They’re all in this together Mr PM!!!!

  2. How foolish can you be to put your life in someone else’s hands, riding on the back of a bike without a helmet? Well….

  3. I wonder everyday “what do those females have in their heads” not a brain for sure……to tell me you dotish to be behind a man or whatever you ay want to call him without a helmet… dumb can you get? am sure when you look in the mirror the harsh reminder will help you make smarter decisions in the future….i truely feel sorry for all the dotish femalrs

  4. My question is why the Fire and emergency department always have vehicles to carried out their duties but the police never seem to. Mind you they have more vehicles at there disposal at any given time. Is it their organizational structure or is their work load always heavier or maybe it can be their approach to their work.

  5. “Bike Life!”. Keep on riding. Yolo. “dat cah happen to me Since the day i riding” “they not respecting riders” ” I eh need a helmet dat does more make me want to crash”
