Francis brothers ‘prodigal sons’ – Clarke

The Francis brothers, Hermangild and Peterson, have been described by Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) General Secretary Leo Clarke, as prodigal sons, who will return home.

Both brothers, formerly supporters of the ruling labour party, are now members of the opposition United Workers Party (UWP).

“The Francis Brothers were members of the labour party and while they were there we embraced them,” Leo Clarke said.

The SLP General Secretary observed that Hermangild and Peterson Francis decided they wanted to go elsewhere.

However he said he was not sure that the siblings are happy with the way they have fared in the journey that has taken them away from the labour party.

Clarke noted that one brother, Claudius Francis, has remained with the labour party.

Claudius Francis is currently the Chairman of the SLP.

Leo Clarke said he has been informed that the men’s parents have also stayed with the ruling party.

“A family that is supposed to be together as a labour family, certain members decided that they would be prodigal sons and they have decided to go astray and the SLP awaits their return with open arms,” the SLP General Secretary stated.

“We are a party with a big heart,” Clarke explained.
