Press Release:-  This year, as part of activities to observe International Women’s Day, the Department of Gender Relations in collaboration with Strut for a Cause, and the US based not-for-profit organization They Often Cry Outreach (TOCO), hosted a Clothesline Project.

The project served as a vehicle for people to express their emotions and views through displayed shirts that have been decorated or contain written messages about the effects and prevalence of sexual violence.

The activity, which took place at the Serenity Park in Sans Souci, allowed students, community groups and the general public to view the exhibition which was a display of support for the survivors of sexual assault and abuse.

TOCO was founded by Saint Lucian recording artiste Taj Weekes.
