Concerned relatives have been organising search parties in the quest to find 72 year old Lawrence Charles of Bois Den, Jacmel.
Charles is reported to have last been seen on Friday.
His granddaughter, Vernessa Cherry, told St Lucia Times that a family member last saw the senior citizen at 2.pm, while some persons said that he had been seen later in the day walking up the road with a machete in hand.
Cherry disclosed that Charles was last seen wearing a green shirt and grey trousers.
Charles lives alone next to one of his brothers and his daughter, who, along with other relatives, take care of him.
However, his granddaughter said he loves cooking for himself outdoors.
She told St Lucia Times that it is the first time that her grandfather has gone missing from home.
” He would leave his home and go to his sister’s house, that’s in Jacmel, and he would come back home. If he has to go to the health centre, which is also in Jacmel, on a Thursday, he would come back home,” she explained.
Cherry disclosed that concerned relatives have organised search teams which have been looking for Charles in all the possible places which they think he might be, to no avail.
The missing man suffers from epilepsy, she revealed.
