CARICOM Today:–  It has been downgraded from a hurricane, but forecasters say Tropical Storm Isaac remains strong as it moves towards the Eastern Caribbean.

Early Tuesday morning, Isaac’s centre was located 14.6 North, 48.1 West or about 880 miles (1,420 KM) East of the islands.  It was moving towards the West at 14 mph (22KM per hour) with maximum sustained winds reaching 70 mph (110 km/h).

Forecasters expect Isaac to keep on its current track throughout the week and to move across the Eastern Caribbean islands and into the Caribbean sea on Thursday.
