Gros Islet police have charged two men for possession of firearms and ammunition, arising from an operation early Wednesday morning in Sarrot and Babonneau.
Police identified the duo as Lec Alphonse, 24, of Chassin, Babonneau, and Ray Estephane ,27, of Sarrot, originally of Balata.
Estephane is accused of having had in his possession one Glock 27 pistol, 10 rounds of .45 ammunition , 4 rounds of .40 ammunition, 6 rounds of 9mm ammunition in the magazine of the recovered weapon and one Glock .40 extended magazine
Alphonse, on the other hand, is accused of having had one Ruger 9mm pistol , 3 rounds of 9mm ammunition and 3 rounds of 12 gauge ammunition in his possession.
Police say the weapons and ammunition were recovered during a law enforcement operation about 4.00 am Wednesday.
