Guy Joseph says Kenny Anthony losing it!

Asserting that Prime Minister Doctor Kenny Anthony has been engaging in erratic behavior lately, Castries South East MP, Guy Joseph, has expressed the belief that the PM is “losing it.”

“It is clear that Doctor Anthony is losing it as far as I am concerned, because he is more confused than anybody else in this country in terms of where the country is going and what he needs to be doing,” Joseph told the Times.

The former minister said he did not know whether Anthony was losing control of himself or running the affairs of government.

Joseph recalled that Anthony went to parliament and passed a $1.4 billion budget.

He observed that the PM has not implemented a single thing in the budget, did not even go through the second phase of budget debate and decided to call elections.

Joseph said there was an element of surprise in Anthony calling elections on June 6, 2016, without giving the convention 21 day notice.

He stated that the poll would be held in the middle of CXC examinations, which was questionable.

“You follow a series of activities by this PM and it is clear Doctor Anthony does not have much regard for the way things are done in this country,” Joseph told the Times.

The Castries South East MP accused Anthony of attempting to win elections by default and not through genuine performance.

Joseph recalled that during the days of the National Alliance, Anthony called a snap election four years into his term after the Alliance collapsed.

He said the Prime Minister treats Saint Lucia as his toy, believing he can play with the country as he wants.

But Joseph warned that if Anthony believes that his ruling party can win the next elections by default due to a lack of preparedness by the opposition United Workers Party (UWP), he is in for a big surprise.
