Guy Mayers tipped for diplomatic post

Former National Security Minister, Guy Mayers, has been tipped for a diplomatic post in London, well-informed sources have told the Times.

Mayers, who is Chairman of the ruling United Workers Party (UWP), is likely to be appointed this country’s High Commissioner to London, the Times has been informed.

According to information, the issue has already been discussed with the former minister.

If appointed, Mayers will succeed Doctor Ernest Hilaire.

Hilaire successfully contested the June 6, 2016 general elections, winning the Castries South seat.
