Guyana: Guard Charged With Stealing Dresses From Store

A man hired as a security guard for a Regent Street store found himself before a city court yesterday charged with stealing 12 dresses from the business.

Lenno Alexander, 28, of Lot 317 Crane Housing Scheme, West Coast Demerara, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The charge, which was read to him by Principal Magistrate Faith McGusty, states that on September 7th, at Regent Street, Georgetown, he stole 12 dresses, valued $60,000, from his employer, Sunil Teotia.

  1. I wonder what size he wears? Did he try them on before taking them? What he can do is try them on in court and maybe use the defense, that they are not his size, then he can have a Johnnie Cochron moment by saying If the dresses don’t fit, you have to acquit. I wonder if he already has some 8 inch heels and a weave to go with them?

  2. Most security guards have to steal to survive as they only earn less than 900.00 dollars a month and have to work 12 to 14 hour shifts
