Masked bandits armed with sharp instruments attacked the La Croix Maingot Combined School in the early hours of this morning.

According to reports, the intruders tied up the Security Guard who was on duty.

Thereafter the masked bandits proceeded to go through the school, stealing whatever they could lay their hands on and take away.

The Times was informed that the list of stolen items included a microwave oven and electric fans.

The Security Guard was not seriously injured.

The criminals later escaped in the Security Guard’s vehicle which was found abandoned at Cul de Sac.

Education Officer for District Four, Fiona Mayer, expressed outrage at the incident.

“We have to respect schools and recognize the impact these break-ins are having on a wide cross-section of the community, “Mayer told the Times.

She said education officials are sick and tired of the attacks.

Mayer declared that schools are not commercial properties.

“I have said over and over again that schools are not areas where we raise significant sums of money,” the Education official asserted.

Mayer called on the perpetrators to stop targeting schools.

The robbery occurred at about 4:a.m.
