Saint Lucia police have said that homicide victim Danny Charlemagne, also known as ‘Danny Cat’, was well known to them.

Asked whether the deceased was a suspect in criminal matters, Superintendent George Nicholas told reporters on Tuesday that although ‘well known’ to the police, at the time of his death Charlemagne, as far as he is aware, was not a suspect or a person of interest.

The 28 year old was among two men who were shot dead at Leslie Land, Castries on Monday about 5.00 pm.

The other deceased was Shellan Francis, 23.
