“Hon. Sarah Flood-Beaubrun’s Anti-LGBT and Hate Agenda”

Press Release:-The weekend of November 17th – 18th 2017 was the stage for the very homophobic and anti-LGBT group World Congress of Families (WFC).

This fifth World Congress of Families Caribbean Conference, under the misleading theme “The Family Development – Strong Families, Prosperous Nations”, provided a platform for the continued persecution of not just LGBT persons but our Saint Lucian citizens.

Organized by the Hon. Sarah Flood-Beaubrun,  Minister, with responsibility for External Affairs and founder of the Caribbean Centre for Family and Human Rights (CARIFAM).  The Congress brought together the most fringe activists engaged in anti-LGBT extremism and sort to promote messages of “the natural family”, “Marriage” is the cradle of civilization along with other anti-human rights notions.

United and Strong joins a number of regional and international colleagues in denouncing the hateful anti-LGBT campaign of the World Congress of Families (WCF) and Caribbean Centre for Family and Human Rights (CARIFAM).

We were also perplexed by the presence of the Acting Prime Minister Hon. Guy Joseph and Hon. Lenard Montoute at such a gathering which promotes a value of hate.  Even more disturbing to the organization is the view that CARIFAM/WCF seem to have been sub-contracted as the moral compass of our fair Helen.

We therefore call on the Prime Minister of this nation along with the Hon. Lenard Montoute, to answer this question “are the views expressed by the Hon. Sarah Flood-Beaubrun and her hate promoting colleagues, that of the government of Saint Lucia?”  Clearly, the Minister with responsibility for External Affairs has and continues to use her position as a Government Minister to push the hateful agenda of her organization CARIFAM  and WCF.

The Hon. Sarah Flood-Beaubrun seems to have adopted the posture of being “Split in the middle” speaking on behalf of CARIFAM as a seating member of parliament in the government of Saint Lucia and a Cabinet Minister.  Mrs. Flood-Beaubrun needs to decide on, if she is serving the people of this country or her own anti-LGBT interest?

We call on the Hon. Flood-Beaubrun to show how she truly cares about the women and families of this country by:

  • Pushing for the amendments in our Criminal Code that currently recognizes marital rape only under certain circumstances;
  • Speaking out when men of the cloth sexually abuse our young girls and religious bodies remain tight lipped to protect the image of their organizations;
  • Show support to the women who are beaten by their husbands but remain quiet so the “church” would not reprimand them for speaking out;

United and Strong will continue to be the voice of reason and change for the voice-less and the persecuted.  We shall not tire and we shall not go quietly into the night, the walls of hatred built by such organizations like CARIFAM and WCF shall tumble like the walls of Jericho.

  1. Wiiiii mama. The queers out in force. They same way you stand up for what you believe in Sarah did the same. Don’t hate her for it as you’re just as hateful. They were promoting the love of the human species and the natural order. Species must multiply to survive. If a male and a female did not come together none of those queers would be around. How selfish of you’ll to not want to do the same.

  2. How is it hateful to disagree with another sect or group’s values. Saint Lucia is a Christian nation, founded on Christian values. While I agree that greater measures could be taken to protect victims/persons at risk of sexual abuse, and speak out against the perpetrators, maybe advocates could articulate exactly what is hateful about the CARIFAM and WCF’s campaign regarding the LGBTQ community.

  3. Your dirty perverted agenda will not succeed in the Caribbean and elsewhere. Please rest assured. We will continue to stand for families. We will continue to do what is right. Let me simply educate all you behind this Press Release: I walk into a room, immediately two things are known about me dependent on the context; One I am a woman. Two, I am black. If its in the Caribbean; perhaps the second part will not apply, if its outside the Caribbean, it will. Back to the point being made; Nowhere in that context you can see or know who it is I sleep with. You gays want every single person to know who exactly you sleep with. How you all do it through your backdoors or front doors. You want to remind every single person of the nastiness behind closed doors. We do not want to know your sexual preferences. We do not want you indoctrinating our kids. We want strong families in the Caribbean. We have enough problems as it is, with single parents families, we dont want your burden added to that. Stand Sarah, we are with you!

  4. St. Lucia don’t want this gay thing. Why don’t they realise it. They can live in St. Lucia buy don’t force your life style on us. I’m not UWP but I totally support Sarah. And who spoke about hate? The people believe in family values. AA want to them lesbians?

    • I agree with you. It is one thing to let live, but to force such an abominable lifestyle on others is another. How can one reconcile two men raising a child, or telling me that is it ok for same sex marriage.

      Like it or not the nastiness is being perpetuated under the guise of human rights, but JAH ALMIGHTY created Adam and soon after Eve – a women for the man Adam.

      We cannot afford to be soft and give in to Satanic nastiness just to have a dollar or to be touted as well disciplined

  5. Human life is sexually transmitted from the union of a sperm from a male and an egg from a female. No egg on egg or sperm on sperm collisions can produce a human and most LGBT persons born into to this world were produced from heterosexual (not homosexual) sex.
    The European Court for Human Rights has ruled that same-sex “marriages” are not considered a human right, making it clear that homosexual partnerships do not in fact equal marriages between a man and a woman. Nuff said.

  6. Can we not live and let live? Their lifestyle doesn’t affect me personally, so I really don’t care what they do. Let there be peace!

  7. United and Strong should thank all those women who, through heterosexual sex, used their ‘split in the middle’ to produce babies who matured into straight and LGBT adults some of whom, ironically, now work for United and Strong.

  8. ….“the natural family”, “Marriage” is the cradle of civilization along with other anti-human rights notions.”……

    family? marriage? are anti-human rights notions?

    please title this as a press release by United & Strong so some if us don’t waste time reading this hateful garbage.

  9. Hateful intolerant bullying by the disgusting gay lobby paid for by the destructive left in the EU and the USA. They have destroyed the African American family life and ours too.
    Natural law and Christian law proves that these people are perverted and for 40 years they have been pushing the agenda down our throats.
    Well done Mrs Beaubrun. Someone has to stand up to these bullies singing for their wages from the gay lobby.

  10. It will succeed everywhere. We have no choice. I don’t support LBGTQ but I know plenty about this agenda. Not only do they want the right to be immoral but they want you to agree with their actions as will. You disagreeing is being seen as hate speech. People in the US and other countries have lost their businesses for not serving the LBGTQ person. It is their right to do whatever they want with their bodies in accordance with the laws but they cannot force people to agree with them.

  11. The World Congress of Families meeting was about “Strong families; prosperous nation”. This article should tell us what they think about that. They also should tell us in which way more Lesbians, more Gays and more Transgenders would be beneficial for the nations and help her to be more prosperous.

  12. I’ve always found it interesting that the most homophobic countries on earth seem to have the highest levels of crime and violence. I think it speaks to what can result from a high level of fear, ignorance and intolerance in a society.

  13. Education have left y’all so backwards ..Speaking from my own perspective, people need to understand that LGBTQI individuals did not chose that lifestyle, in fact some of them try to change their lifestyle but they can’t because this is who they are . A question I always ask, “If being gay is a choice , when since when did you decide to be straight? Pretty sure most of you shouldn’t be able to answer this right ? Y’all look for everything that doesn’t concern or affect y’all.. Tell me how does someone’s way of living affects you? Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion about different stuff but stop with this hate messages against someone’s else lifestyle. Everyone should be able to live comfortably with who they are as a person …Y’all are so quick to judge people but y’all business more dirty and hidden in the closet . Y’all think y’all are little saints when clearly y’all aren’t. It’s just sad how we humans have become so judgemental and carry so much hatred in our hearts ..oh well , if we continue to judge people like that it seems when God comes down he will have no more judging to do !! Get Educated People ..Y’all are better than that .

  14. How is being gay “forcing” a lifestyle on other people or “destroying” St Lucian families, I will never know…

    And for all you bible spewing hypocrites – casting the first stone, are we?
